Most of the ppl that i know LOVE the one at Air Itam(near Kek Lok Si) but i dont fancy it as much as they do. partly is bcoz i grew up there n got used to it, i think. the one i like is at Balik Pulau. From Air Itam, u need to drive further summore(went thru the hill road, juz straight) until u come across a T-junction... n the shop is about 100-200m b4 the junction at the left
Cendol/ice-kacang
Sum likes the 1 at swatow lane but my preference is the one at Jln Kheng Swee(??), near 2 komtar, located at small alley opposite a police station alongside the road of Cititel Hotel (aihhh, cant even remember the name of dat name)
---only in late morning n afternoon---
Lohbak ( oth plc call it Ngo Heung[hokkian], Wu Xiang [mand], Ng Heung[ Cantonese], 五香)
4 those who dunno what it is, juz accept it pork-roll
Located also at the Cititel Hotel road, from Cititel, drive until u see a Giordano(or izzit Body Glove) shop, located inside a coffee shop, the one further away from Cititel. its a small snack that u can eat even if u r full, not 2 forget its "heh chee" (cucur udang chinese version)
---only in afternoon---
Curry Mee ( johor n kl ppl call Curry Laksa)
no doubt. Chulia street. if u r at the 7-11 Chulia Street, juz look at the direction NorthEast, where u can see lotsa stall there. oh ya, remember 2 order at the auntie. the uncle will 100% ignore whateva u order no matter how polite u r .. he only receives data from his wife. so, order at the tau-keh-soh whom her hair colour alwiz change from time to time
-- only fr 9pm-midnite 12am--
Fruit Juice
a glass of apple juice might costs u RM5-6 exclude tax at a restaurant but at here, it costs u only RM1.50 but the quality of it, totally superior than the one at restaurant. A MUST TRY : BANANA Juice + Milk. the plc? same plc as the Curry Mee i mentioned above. u can have curry mee alongside with the banana milk. Ultimate Combo
--starts fr 7pm--
Almond Drink + Koay Teow Soup
even 4 those who hates almond drink( ie ME) would take a big gulp of it n actually do not spit it out.. n if u r d one who luvs almond, its the Champion Almond u can have it here. As 4 d Koay Teow Soup, a MUST TRY item is d CHICKEN LEG. it is located at the Kimberley Street. u can a figure like a Astro food hunt show eh host at both the stall. not 2 forget d Koay Chiap located only opposite the both stall. many ppl recommend it, but i nvr try it coz i dun like koay chiap
--6pm onwards--
Duck Meat Mee Suah Soup
from Jelutong Expressway, juz go straight until you c a Honda Service Center at ur right. Find parking, n proceed to the hawker stalls there. only available in the morning, so its perfect to have relatively light food[compare 2 oth pg food, but not 2 salad or ordinary breakfast].
--only at morning--
Western Food [non-restaurant/hawker style which means Cheaper!]
Mount Erskine. a plc famous 4 cemetery.... yeah, im not bringing u 2 a ghost-food hunting but a real plc which really exists. from PCGHS(Penang Chinese Girl School), turn left at the p.tikus junction traffic light. n if u proceed further and see lotsa graves at both sides of the road, u've come 2 right plc. juz go straight->>>>> until u c a temple n an apartment on ur left hand side, slow down( i mean vr slow) n look at ur right hand side, n u will c a temple-alike house(painted in quite red but it is not a temple)... voila, that's the plc.
if u r at there, no point calling all those chechkai chechkai lame old school western food eg chicken chop, black pepper chic etc . my suggest CHICKEN GORDON BLUE n also a Grilled Chicken smthg smthg Paris .... n its only at RM6.50 and Rm7 respectively
--6pm onwards, closed on thursday nite--
Chee Cheong Fun
Genting Coffee Shop ...... no no no, this genting aint cold hill but it only a coffee shop located next to SMK Hamid Khan in Taman Green Lane..how 2 go? from pg bridge (oldest exit) n when u come across a roundabout, choose straight ( u can also choose 2 go thru d tunnel alike route) n turn in2 ur left at the 1st traffic light.... go straight, n again turn left at the 1st junction u c n voila, u r there.. u can see the "jiu pai" Genting Coffee Shop welcomes u... remember 2 ask d fella 2 open/unroll d CCF.... but must depends on ur luck la, if u somehow came 2 a peak-peak moment of his, he will juz ignore ur request... thats wat the downfall of that stall...
---only in morning---
if u followed my suggestions n went 2 explore 4 it, it's oredi taken almost ur full day n at least half-tank of ur fuel ( if u r noob n hence taking longer route, means more fuel consumptions) . n if u havent full yet, im sorry, pg food cant help u much.
there are also few recommendation i've receive but i havent tried it yet
