Things to do at KEK LOK SI temple
It's fun when you visit Kek Lok Si during weekdays, where the visitors is not very much,
u know why?
u can pose at the WHOLE STREET ..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee
actually, there's nothing real fun n exciting stuff to do at Kek Lok Si
but
if you go with a digital camera, thatz a different case
u can do lotsa crazy stuff
actually there's still a lot in my pc
but i believe that's enough
the latest attraction to KEK LOK SI is the Guan Yin Goddess Of Mercy Statue
Ignore the poser, alrite?
as you can see, statue is exposed to the rain and shades all the time, so they're building a somekind hut alike thingy to protect the statue from the weather(coz dulux weathershield is not applicable at the statue)
well, the temple does not receive budget from the government to build, so they always short of money
so they set a booth to plead for donation
with RM30 of donation, u can have your blessing written on a roof plate, where the roof plate later on will be use as the roof of the hut-alike thingy
so we 4 persons shared money to donate one plate ( broke d la dat time)
my calligraphy is CUTE, rite?? heehee
in other words, u r involved in protecting the Guan Yin Statue
after paying and demonstrate yourugly extraordinary calligraphy skills, u can proceed to ur blessing pleading( pai pai in chinese)
Oh ya, all the money u spend whether on buying the souvenir, or using their service, the profit will be donated into upgrading the temple
its like you are buying stuff and doing charity at the same time!
