Why I Want To Eat At Fridays

TGI Friday

A label no stranger to the world
but a stranger to me

I first seen this red and white label on a TV show with the name "Every day's A Friday" hosted by Serena C

Little did I know that this red and white stripes is an international label as I never come across it before, so I didn't give much care about it.
At first, I even thought it's a local brand ..swt

back to the topic, Why I Want To Eat At Fridays????

1 Curiousity
Dec 2006, TGIF opens it branch at Penang Queensbay Mall.
Each and single time I pass by the restaurant, there's always people queuing to dine in..
I thought maybe TGIF
  • is having a big mega promotion
  • is conducting show striptease show
  • invited famous artists to come over
  • giving away fantastic freebies to their customer
but it turns out none of the above applies.
It makes me very curious of what makes people attracted to that series of red and white stripes

2 Recommendation
when TGIF released the news that they are going to have an outlet in Penang,
my friend, unconditionally spreaded the news through SMS.
He went like,
TGI Friday will be in Penang when the Queens Bay Mall opens! YAHOO!!!

upon receiving the message, I went
ME : What? how much TGIF is paying you??

HE : Nop, I'm doing this for free

ME : sweat

His passion did not ends there.
He marked his calendar on 1st December 2006, the day when Queens Bay Mall starts to operate.
Then, he started to ask people, "let's go TGI Friday" weeks before that!

His mind was all on TGI Friday and TGI Friday alone!
Now, beat that!!

Besides that, I see many fellow bloggers giving nice feedbacks of their experiences at TGI Friday.

3 to Top-up my dissatisfaction
4 days after breaking up with my ex-girlfriend, she went to dine at Friday's with her valentine on February 14th .. that's so unfair
Most of my friend already tried TGI Friday, I believe my turn is to come *winks*

4 to Certify the Quality of the food
Yes, I know I am not food expert or anything equivalent.

but that doesn't mean I don't have the right to evaluate the food!
TGI Friday treats every customer in equals manner, right?
In fact, the customers' satisfaction should be their priority, not food critics!

Oh ya, all the pictures above is taken from the internet.
That's because I don't have my own version of Friday's photo.
Hopefully I can have the chance to pay a visit to TGIF anytime soon!
