2014 as it was - Part 2
I shall dedicate this post mainly about the trips and getaway for the all year round.
En route back to KL, since Genting Highland is sorta on way........ uphill we went!
This is where the infamous F4 vs S.H.E picture is shot
btw, it's not following the SOP if you are above 21 and didn't enter casino.
This is where it goes international!
The most unorthodox, impromptu yet stress free trip of the year would be Pahang trip.
First trip? Malacca.
It wasn't fully leisure trip as it was done with an objective:
INCOVAR induction camp to kick-start everything.
INCOVAR induction camp to kick-start everything.
btw, it's a sin if you don't eat satay celup while you are in Malacca.
Up next? Ikan patin - Temerloh.
Ever waking up in the morning with some light breakfast and then driving 3 hours to Temerloh for this?
and more epic part?
After tarnishing the smoothie sedap-maxima ikan patin, we basically wants to leave Temerloh.
However, due to the forever feeling bored eh stomach that we have, we stopped by for ice-cream la, kelapa bakar la, etc etc la.

Either that, or starbucks Genting.

Highlight of 2014 : Melbourne, Aussie!
Best part? Flight, accommodation and food all paid!
For it is company trip.
It's the highlight for many of the colleagues as many super look forward to the trip.
Our departure from KLIA is about 11pm and many showed up with full preparation except for this fella.

Many questions where thrown to me that night, asking whether my luggage is sufficient, whether I can withstand the cold etc etc
I think what they can't stand is actually I'm wearing too casual to go for international trip.
Sandals to MAS international flight.... for real brah?
In my defense, it's 11pm flight and we are going mile high to sleep anyway. I just wanna feel at most comfortable to lullaby into night as I'm pretty sure we ain't to get a lot of sleep in the long 6 hour flight.
btw, it's against Australian law if you brings domestic food into the country.

against the mainstream |
dry chilli, dried prawn, marinated mango and even cup noodles.
Where to go next? All bro trip to Kuching!
Why?
To witness the Dentist Boy says "I Do" to this Dentist hottie he met in Miri.
Since we already at the East, might as well spend few more days there, right?
Might as well...
Apart from the groom, the rest of us explore the land of pussy, kitty Kuching.
Ever walked 45mins for a bowl of Kolo Mee? We did that in Kuching.
Ever attacked by wild boar and aggressive monkeys? we did that in Kuching.
Ever brought a Malay dude to Kuan Yin temple? We did that in Kuching.
Ever did....... shhhhhhhh.. What happened in Kuching stays in Kuching. xD
btw, despite the name Kuching, you can't really find physical cat wandering around in the streets.

The most beneficial trip for me in 2014 would be the strategic getaway to Cameron Highlands with BGF YC core team.
It's not about cold weather, steamboat, strawberries and fresh flowers.
From this trip, thanks to the organizers, we were put to explore our mind, drill it kao-kao to go and get to see what we really want, both individually and as a team.
Equipped with tools and appropriate methods, we get to know where we stand and how do we go about it.
The best take-away from this trip is, I get to learn of a new (and useful) tool of how to make decision.
A fruitful trip, indeed.
Btw, it's a disrespect to Cameron itself if you go Cameron highland and don't eat strawberries.
The most meaningful trip of 2014?
It has gotta be Johor trip downsouth.
Why meaningful then?
2 main reasons.
For the first time in a long long time (5 years to be exact), the ex-course-mates gather from UTHM gathered up to meet and catch-up with each other.
Well, physical and status wise, we may have changed a lot, but behavior wise, it is almost about the same!

While many is enjoying ourselves on this down-south trip, there was a hidden agenda behind it.
The male counterpart of a couple whom met each other at the university, decided to propose to her and had chosen the location of proposal to be at the location where it was all started.
Love. Reminiscence. Hopefully, ever-lasting.
Too bad myself is not able to be physically there when he kneels in front her, but the love air is felt thoroughly all over the places.
Congratulation, housemate!
Be sure to be nice to her, dude!

The most unorthodox, impromptu yet stress free trip of the year would be Pahang trip.
With 9 individuals of very wide range of personalities with the age range between 19-29. we start our journey at 1 a.m
Yes. 1 blardy a.m in the midnite!
While thinking that it's the best idea that one would ever think of, there is one tiny detail yet significant one that we overlooked.
It's on Hari Raya Haji eve!
It feels like whole Muslim population in the city is going back to the east side at the same time.
It took us 6 hours of dreadful journey for what supposed to take us 3+.
Of the same reason, almost all the awesome food in our awesome food hunt checklist has gotta be left unchecked due to shops/outlets being CLOSED FOR HARI RAYA HAJI.
Luck wasn't being with our side as well, as the reason we willing to wake up such odd hour in the morning is to catch the sun rise and also the best view of "Rainbow waterfall" of Sungai Lembing.
However, for both mornings, the sun refuse to cooperate. -.-
However, for both mornings, the sun refuse to cooperate. -.-
Despite the downfall, food-rejection and itenary went haywire, we didn't feel any stress at all.
Basically we just accept, adjust and move on almost instantaneously.
Btw, Loo Han has an awesome playlist.
With the places I get to visit, I am grateful for what 2014 has brought to me.
What's more important is that I have awesome friends and companions to be with me throughout the year 2014 whether it is long trip or short one.
It is felt dearly to my heart.
